You've Got Questions, we've got answers.
1What type of tours do you offer?”
We provide custom private tours, and this means that your tour is whatever you want it to be. Wineries, distilleries, breweries, redwoods or the coast. There are many possibilities to explore. In addition, we can provide dinner or airport transportation if needed.
2What are your rates?
The rate for our six passenger Mercedes Metris van is $95/hr. The rate for our fourteen passenger Mercedes Sprinter van is $165/hr. Rates are in addition to a twenty percent gratuity and no additional booking fees.
3How long will my wine tour be?
Wine tours are typically about six hours with three different winery stops and a picnic lunch. Times may differ depending on distances between locations. For example, driving from Sonoma to Napa adds approximately one hour of driving time to the day. Other factors may include additional stops you might want to add to your day, such as a stop at a taco truck or dinner.
4Where will you pick us up?
We will gladly pick you up where you need us to pick you up. Whether it is your hotel, VRBO, Air BNB, vacation home, campground, or an airport. Including locations in both Sonoma and Napa counties and the San Francisco Bay area.
5How many wineries will you take us to?
This depends on what you want to do. My wife likes one winery in the morning, lunch in the middle and a second winery in the afternoon. I like two wineries before lunch and a third afterwards. Some groups like to do four wineries a day. This is your tour and it will be planned the way you want it to be.
6What’s the best winery in Napa?
This is an impossible question to answer, because it depends on what you like and what experience you want to have. Are you looking for the best views, a great story, awesome people, or a specific wine? There are so many options, and I work with you to put together an itinerary that will include your “BEST” winery in Napa.
7What’s the best winery in Sonoma?
Again, this is an impossible question to answer, because it depends on what you like and what experience you want to have. Are you looking for the best views, a great story, awesome people, or a specific wine? Ice cream, chowder, ocean or redwoods? There are so many options, and I work with you to put together an itinerary that will include your “BEST” winery in Sonoma.
8Are there fees for tasting?
Yes. There are fees for tasting and the prices will vary from winery to winery and range anywhere from $0 to $950+ per person; however, tasting fees are often waived if you purchase wine or join the wine club. We will talk about this together and I will give you some options on locations that you are comfortable with.
9How should I dress?
I always recommend layers. Mornings can be cool, afternoons warm and many tasting rooms and cellars stay chilly year-round. Comfortable walking shoes are essential, as vineyards and tasting rooms often involve standing, stairs, gravel or uneven ground. I also suggest refraining from wearing perfume or cologne. These scents can make it difficult to smell the bouquets of the wine you will be tasting. It is also recommended not to chew gum or breath mints, because these will affect how the wine tastes.
10What is the best time of year to visit?
Whether visiting Sonoma County or Napa Valley, wine country is beautiful year-round. With each season offering its own rhythm, flavors and charm. Spring (March – May) is green, quiet and cool. Summer (June-August) is sunny with warmer afternoons. Fall (September – October) is harvest season. Vineyards glow and the wineries are busy. Winter (November – February) is calm, intimate and ideal for a quieter experience.
11What’s the best restaurant in Napa?
The best restaurant in Napa really depends on the experience you are looking for – fine dining, casual or something in-between. Napa has some incredible options and I’m happy to help narrow it down for you.
12What’s the best restaurant in Sonoma?
There isn’t one single best restaurant in Sonoma – again it depends on what kind of experience you are looking for. Sonoma County offers everything from world-class fine dining to relaxed, farm driven local favorites. I’m happy to recommend something based on your mood, timing and location.
13Are kids allowed at wineries?
Some wineries welcome children, while others are adults-only. I’m happy to guide you to places that are a great fit for your group.
14Are pets allowed at wineries?
We love our dogs in wine country and service dogs are always allowed at wineries. Some wineries do accept non-service dogs and I am happy to guide your group to the best places that will allow your furry friend.
15What’s the best way to get my wine home?
Most wineries are happy to ship your wine for you. If you have 6 or more bottles to ship per winery, I recommend asking the staff there and they will be happy to help. If you have a few bottles collected throughout the day, I am happy to assist with the shipping arrangements.
16Should I tip my wine educator?
Yes, it is appropriate to tip your wine educator, and it should be based on the tasting fees (not any purchases) and the service you have received from them, and how satisfied you were with their service. If you ever have any questions, please ask and I am happy to assist.

Cheers To Fun!
